Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Unscrol mobile application ("the App") operated by Unscrol ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Unscrol, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

2. Description of Service

Unscrol is a digital wellness application designed to help users reduce mindless scrolling and build healthier digital habits. Features include daily check-ins, streak tracking, focus sessions, mood journaling, urge logging, and a community leaderboard.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address and create a 4-digit PIN to register.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@unscrol.app.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

4.1 Subscription Plans

Unscrol offers auto-renewable subscription plans ("Unscrol Pro") with the following terms:

• Monthly Plan: Billed monthly. Price displayed at the time of purchase in the App Store.
• Annual Plan: Billed once per year. Price displayed at the time of purchase in the App Store.

4.2 Free Trial

Where offered, free trials automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

4.3 Billing and Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• The cost of renewal will be the same as the original subscription price unless otherwise notified.

4.4 Managing Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.

4.5 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through the App Store. Unscrol does not issue refunds directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent data
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users via the leaderboard or community features
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the App

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the exclusive property of Unscrol and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

7. User-Generated Content

Any content you submit to the App (such as mood entries or username/display name on the leaderboard) remains yours. By submitting content, you grant Unscrol a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content solely for the purpose of operating the App.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Unscrol is not a medical or mental health service and should not be used as a substitute for professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Unscrol shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it within the App or contacting us at support@unscrol.app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
